The lessons aim to teach a variety of performance disciplines, predominantly through the art form of dance. The classes combine Drama, Singing and Dance, to create balanced Musical Theatre Classes all taught by Qualified Teachers.
Focus: is placed on educating, challenging and encouraging young artists to develop confidence, control, self esteem and strong social skills. Objective: to stretch their imagination and ability to new heights, and........of course have lots of fun! Lessons are for 3 and 3/4 up to 16 years.
Classes also include the ISTD modern Syllabus and students can enter exams at the choice of the teacher.
Freestyle Tap Dancing
The dancer uses their feet to strike the floor, beating out different rhythms, with dancers wearing tap shoes which have small metal plates on the toe and heel to give the distinctive sound. Tap dance is a theatrical art form often seen on stage in musicals. Lessons follow the ISTD tap syllabus vocabulary and grades. Lessons for over 7 years.
Contemporary and Limbering
Limbering (or stretching) classes are designed to develop flexibility and overall fitness without taking time away from regular lessons., Contemporary follows a release based dance technique,. Lessons for over 8 years.
Classes use hula hoops to work on developing core strength and co-ordination, while learning tricks and dance moves as well.
