Lara-Jean Hallam is the principal of the school, she started studying
Performing Arts at the tender age of 3. She studied locally in Southampton
and entered festivals and competitions in drama, dance and singing.
Lara–Jean is qualified to BA Honors in Dance Studies and English Literature.
She completed her Musical Theatre training at Italia Conti Arts Centre, overcoming stiff competion to gain a scholarship. While at Italia Conti, Lara -Jean completed her Advanced 2 Tap and Modern and Advanced 1 Ballet, and gained her ISTD Teaching Certificate in Tap, Ballet and Modern Dance and attends regular CPD courses . She participated in a professional Cheerleading Squad and gained her UKCA Cheerleading, Stunts and Tumbling Level 2/3 Award, NCSSE Cheerleading 1-4, Future Cheer Level 1-3, IDTA Dance Teaching Associates, Legacy Cheer Judges Conference 2015, New Era Drama Teaching Qualifications, Exercise to Music Level 2, and is a Registered British Gymnastics Coach for Cheerleading Spirit Awards.
Lara-Jean's performance experience has taken her around the world. Her acheivements include : Entertainment Host, Presenter and Performer onboard Carnival Cruiselines ; Entertainment Manager, Singer/ Dancer for TMC services; Dancer at The Brits; Professional Cheerleader; BodyRox Productions, Video Backing Dancer; Thomas Cook Oversees Entertainer; Pantomime Performer; Aimici Dance Member, Theatre Dancer in London; Impact Dance Festival , Dancer at the All England Finals and performed the lead role in 'Hairspray The Musical'.
Lara- Jean is a qualified versatile teacher, with a valid DBS, Safeguarding Children Award, First Aid and Insurance. She has extensive teaching experience around Hampshire, teaching all ages. She is currently promoting Cheerleading through the School Sports Partnership as well. Her specialist subjects are Cheerleading, Jazz, Core Strengthening, Modern Tap, Ballet and Musical Theatre
George Walton is one of our Cheer-a-cality coaches. She is a gymnastics coach who has studied up to degree level in sports coaching and PE and graduated form the University of Chichester. She has her NCSSE Level 1-4 with BCA, BGU 1-2 and UKCA Level 2. She has worked with local gymnastic and cheerleading clubs in the area and is keen to develop cheer-a-cality's gymnastic skills.
Aliesha Bellows trained at D&B School of Performing Arts and graduated in 2016. She trained in ISTD and a varety of dance styles as well as perfomed in many showcases. and featured in the STAGE SCHOOL 2016 tv programme and has performed for DISNEY.
Maisie Ryan (Cheerleading Level 2 UKCA,BGU 1-2), Maisie was a Cheer-a-cality student and used her love for cheer to now become a coach. She won NATIONALS in 2015 wth her stunt team and is an active member in Cheer-a-cality ALLSTARS Competition team.
Emma Collison is our HULA HOOP coach and is registered with GLOBE FIT as an instructor. Emma teaches hooping around the area as well as for DANCE-A-CALITY.
Christie Ravenhill is our mini cheer assistant coach. She runs with a college a successful pre school Movin Monkees gym and movement class. She also helps with our administration in Hedge End.
Claire Cadman is our tumble coach and specialises in conditioning and fitness skills for our competition squads. .
Sarah Gould is an additional cheerleading coach who ran her own squad when living up north. She has moved down south and is assisting with our competiton teams. BCA cheer trained.
Megan Liddell is a professional dancer who who has travelled Europe. She is a qualified Cheer and Dance Teacher and has stilt walking, hoop acrobatics and fire eating skills on her CV.
We have many Junior coaches who help with our littelest stars as well - Emily Pellatt and Jade Collison for 2016/17
